WASHINGTON — A bitter feud has erupted among President Trump’s close allies as Alina Habba, his former personal attorney who served as the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey, accuses ex-intelligence director and diplomat Ric Grenell of failing to deposit millions of dollars donated by her Turkish billionaire husband to the Kennedy Center.
Habba, 42, married Turhan Mildon, 29, last month and told Trump on Friday in the Oval Office that Grenell failed to deposit $5.6 million from Mildon meant for the center, which Grenell led until March as executive director.

According to reports, Habba raised the issue with Trump in the Oval Office on Friday, Oct. 9. She told the president that in the spring of 2025, Grenell persuaded her husband, Turkish businessman Turhan Mildon, to fold a Kennedy Center donation into a lump-sum $17.6 million payment for a business deal involving a U.S. company.

Reports link the dispute to a $17 million transfer from an account “affiliated” with the Congolese government to a Texas security firm, TX‑AT, which Grenell had previously consulted for.
Mildon is an advisor to Congo President Félix Tshisekedi and has business interests in Venezuela. The controversy also ties into Grenell’s 2025–2026 roles at the Kennedy Center and Live Nation Entertainment.
